An illustrated song card with the lyrics for
Ngā Tamariki o Matariki
This was the first song in my journey of Matariki songs - I had known the “Matariki Macarena” for what seemed like forever but somebody famously said - “No! Aren’t there other songs to learn” (I’ve paraphrased that sentence heavily but needless to say they didn’t want to wake up with a Macarena ear worm).
This beautiful waiata was composed by the late Erana Hemmingsen
